Mint Repair Privacy Policy

Mint Repair LLC · 57 S 1300 W, Suite A, Pleasant Grove, UT 84062 · (801) 960-2507 · support@mintrepair.com · mintrepair.com

Effective date: October 7, 2026

This policy explains what Mint Repair LLC ("we") collects when you visit our website, check in a device, buy from us or message us, and how we use and protect it.

What We Collect

We only collect what we need to repair, sell and support your devices.

When What we collect
Check-in and repair tickets Name, phone number, email, device make and model, serial number or IMEI, the problem you describe, and repair notes
If you give it to us Your device passcode, so we can test the repair
Payment Amount, date and payment type. Card payments go through our payment processor, and we don't keep your full card number.
Website forms (quotes, bookings, business requests) What you type in the form
Texts, calls and email Your number or address and the messages you send us
Website visits Basic technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages viewed, collected through cookies and server logs
Selling or trading in a device to us Your name, contact details, a record of your ID, and the device's serial number or IMEI, which we check for lost, stolen or blocked status. We share these records with law enforcement if a device is reported stolen.

Your Device and Data While We Have It

  • We don't look through your stuff. We open apps and settings only to test the repair (calls, camera, touch, Face ID and similar). We don't browse your photos, messages, email or accounts.
  • Passcodes are optional. If you give us one, we use it only to test your device, and we store it securely, with access limited to Mint Repair. Without a passcode, some tests can't be done.
  • We don't erase or change your data unless you ask us to, or the repair needs it and you agree first.
  • Back up before any repair. Repairs carry a risk of data loss.
  • Specialist repairs: if your device needs board-level work or data recovery at a partner lab, we'll tell you before we send it. The lab receives the device, and the passcode if the job needs one, only for that repair.
  • Devices we sell are fully erased before sale, including devices we buy or take in trade.

Text Messages and Email

What we text: repair updates (such as "ready for pickup"), replies when we miss your call, appointment and quote follow-ups, and a review request after your repair. By giving us your number at check-in or through our website, you agree to receive texts about your repair. We'll only send promotional texts, such as offers and battery reminders, between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m., and only if you've separately signed and agreed to receive them.

  • Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to stop texts at any time, or HELP for help. You can also opt out any other reasonable way, such as calling (801) 960-2507 or telling us in person. We stop within 10 business days, usually right away, and may send one text confirming you've opted out.
  • No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party.
  • Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.

How We Use It and Who Sees It

We use your information to repair and return your device, take payment, honor your warranty, answer questions, send the messages described above, and keep the business records the law requires.

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that run the shop, and only as much as each one needs:

Who Why
Repair-ticket software Holds tickets, customer records and invoices
Payment processor Processes card payments
Texting and phone service Sends and receives calls and texts
Email and website providers Hosts our email, website and forms
Partner repair lab Only when your device is sent out for specialist repair, with your OK
Accountant, lawyer or government When needed for taxes or legal obligations, or when the law requires it

If Mint Repair is sold or transferred, customer records, including repair and warranty history, may go to the new owner so your warranty can continue. They must follow this policy for the information they receive.

Cookies and the Website

Our website uses cookies and server logs to work properly, remember your choices and show us how visitors use the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, though some features, like the quote tool, may not work without them.

If we use Google tools such as Google Analytics or Google Ads, Google may set its own cookies. You can manage Google ad personalization in your Google account settings.

Keeping, Deleting and Protecting Your Information

  • How long we keep it: repair records are kept for as long as your warranty applies and as long as tax and business-record rules require. Passcodes are stored securely in our repair system, with access limited to Mint Repair.
  • Your choices: you can ask what we have on file about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We'll respond within 10 business days. We may need to keep some records, such as sales and tax records and warranty history, when the law or your warranty requires them.
  • Security: access to customer records is limited to Mint Repair staff, and we use reputable software providers. We securely destroy records containing personal information once we no longer need to keep them. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we'll notify you as Utah law requires.
  • Children: our services and website are not directed to children under 13.
  • Changes: if we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
