The short version
- Repairs: covered against defects in our parts and workmanship for as long as you, the original customer, own the device.
- Batteries: covered for 1 year. Normal battery wear isn't a defect.
- Used devices we sell: covered for 30 days.
- If a part we installed fails, we'll repair it, replace it or refund the repair, at no charge.
- Not covered: new damage like drops and cracks, liquid exposure, lost data, or work by anyone else. It's a warranty, not insurance. For accidental damage, ask about a Covrd protection plan.
- No warranty on: liquid-damaged devices, devices with a bent frame we don't replace, and devices with signs of a poor earlier repair by someone else (like missing screws or low-quality parts). We always tell you before we start and note it on your ticket.
- To make a claim: call or text (801) 960-2507 or bring the device in.
The full warranty is below. If anything in this summary reads differently from the full terms, the full terms apply.

Effective date: October 7, 2026 · Updated November 4, 2026
Our Lifetime Limited Warranty
Mint Repair LLC warrants the parts we install and our workmanship against defects for as long as you own the device. "Lifetime" means your ownership of that device. It does not mean the life of the phone or of the part, and it ends if you sell or give the device away.
This is a warranty against defects, not insurance. It covers parts and workmanship that fail on their own. It doesn't cover accidental damage, loss or theft. You may also see it called our "Lifetime Warranty Against Defects."
What counts as a defect: a part we installed that stops working the way it should under normal use. For example:
- Touch stops responding, or registers touches on its own
- Lines, dead pixels, flickering or discoloration on a screen we installed, with no new damage
- A charge port, camera, speaker or button we replaced that stops working
- A part we installed coming loose, or a seal we applied failing
What we'll do: at our option, repair or replace the defective part at no charge for parts or labor, or refund what you paid for that repair. That is the full extent of the warranty.
When coverage starts: on the date of the original repair, as shown on your ticket. A part replaced under warranty is covered for the rest of the original warranty, not a new one.
Repairs made before this warranty took effect are also covered, with the same terms and exclusions. Past battery replacements carry the same 1-year battery warranty.
Foldable phones get the same Lifetime Limited Warranty. We replace foldable screens with manufacturer service-pack assemblies. The crease visible along the fold is a normal part of these screens and isn't a defect.
Battery Warranty: 1 Year
Batteries we install are warranted against defects for 1 year from the repair date. Every battery wears down with use, and normal loss of capacity over time is not a defect.
Covered: swelling, a battery that won't charge or hold a charge, or a phone that shuts off with charge left, all without new damage or liquid exposure.
What we'll do: replace the battery at no charge. After 1 year, batteries are not covered.
What Is Not Covered
- New physical damage: cracks, chips, bends, pressure marks or drops after the repair. A screen that cracks after a drop is a new repair, not a warranty claim.
- Liquid exposure after the repair, including water, sweat, steam and humidity, even on phones rated water-resistant.
- Work by anyone else: failure or damage caused by anyone other than Mint Repair opening, repairing or modifying the device after our repair.
- Misuse and wear: misuse, abuse, accidents, damaged or low-quality chargers and cables, and normal wear.
- Parts we didn't replace. Other parts of the device can fail on their own. If a different part fails, we'll quote that repair.
- Software and settings: operating-system updates, apps, carrier or account locks, and data.
- Manufacturer part messages: messages saying a part is "Unknown" or not genuine, features that don't work with aftermarket parts, and any feature the manufacturer limits on independently repaired devices. If a feature matters to you, ask about our premium screen option before the repair. None of these are defects in our part or work.
- Lost data. Back up your device before any repair. We are not responsible for data loss.
- Water resistance. Phones are water-resistant, not waterproof. We replace seals as well as we can, but we don't warrant water resistance after a repair, and liquid damage is never covered.
- Cosmetic wear after the repair, and accessories such as cases, cables and screen protectors.
- Problems that existed before the repair and that we didn't repair, as noted on your ticket.
- Repairs that aren't paid in full.
Special Cases
These jobs carry a different warranty. We explain it before we start and write it on your ticket at check-in.
| Repair type | Warranty |
|---|---|
| Liquid-damaged devices | No warranty. Corrosion can keep spreading after a repair, so no one can predict how long a fix will last. We'll tell you before we start, and there's no guarantee the device can be fixed. |
| Devices with a bent or damaged frame | No warranty, unless we replace the frame in the same repair. A bent or damaged frame keeps pressure on a new screen, so it's more likely to crack or fail later. We'll show you the damage and tell you before we go ahead. |
| Devices with a poor earlier repair by someone else | No warranty when we find signs of a poor earlier repair, such as missing screws or low-quality aftermarket parts. Earlier work like this can stress or damage the device and the new part, so no one can predict how long a fix will last. We'll show you what we found and tell you before we go ahead, and we'll note it on your ticket. |
| Specialist repairs | 90 days. Bring warranty claims to us, like any other repair. |
| Used devices we sell | 30 days against defects from the date of sale. Physical damage, liquid exposure and cosmetic wear described at the sale are excluded. Returns are covered in our Repair Terms. |
How to Make a Claim
- Call or text (801) 960-2507, or come in during open hours.
- Bring the device. Give us the name or phone number on the original repair so we can find your ticket.
- We'll inspect the device, usually while you wait.
- If it's covered, we'll fix it at no charge. If it isn't, we'll explain why and give you a quote before doing anything.
We don't argue over fair claims. If a part we installed failed, we'll make it right.
The Fine Print
- This warranty comes from Mint Repair LLC only. It isn't a warranty from Apple, Samsung, Google or any other manufacturer.
- We use high-quality replacement parts ("OEM" and "Original Quality" grades). Unless your ticket says otherwise, they aren't parts made or sold by the device's manufacturer.
- An independent repair may affect coverage from your manufacturer, carrier or insurance plan. If that coverage matters to you, check with them before your repair.
- The warranty covers the original customer and the device on the ticket. It can't be transferred. Proof of the repair is our ticket record, which we look up by your name or phone number.
- Repair, replacement or refund as described above is your only remedy under this warranty.
- Implied warranties, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, last only as long as this written warranty. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
- We are not liable for incidental or consequential damages, including lost data, lost income, or the cost of a temporary phone. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
- This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
- If any part of this warranty is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
